Kerr then spread the ball wide on the left to Adam Hamilton who went on a great run and pulled the ball back for Harry Annett to firmly meet at the back post to make it 2-0.

Sunnyside then scored to make it 2-1 with a low shot into the bottom corner howver Hamilton and Taylor Hill went close from corners.

Toby Jones pulled off two fantastic saves while Bobby Jones also kept out the threat of the Sunnyside attack with acouple of timely tackles.

Banbridge went 3-1 up when Annett scored his hat trick with a neat left foot shot when again set up by Hamilton after a great winning tackle by Bobby Jones. Tom King was strong in midfield with some fine tackles with Banbridge then scoring to make it 4-1 when a great build up play by Taylor Hill and a another super weighted pass by Josh Kerr allowed Annett to score his fourth of the game with another low shot.

Sunnyside replied late on with a goal from a corner kick but in the end it finished 4-2 to Banbridge. Overall a fantastic team performance from the boys in their first game back with every player playing a key role in the successful result.

Banbridge Town U9s 1-1 Portadown Youth: In their second game Banbridge drew 1-1 against a strong Portadown Youth side.

In the early stages of the game the Portadown side were sharp on and off the ball and could have taken the lead except for a combination of great goalkeeping by Toby Jones and great defending by Alex Innocenzi and Bobby Jones.

Taylor Hill had a fine free kick blocked by a defender while Tom King and Adam Hamilton had shots saved. Town took the lead after Innocenzi’s great approach play with Harry Annett finding the net to make it 1-0.

Portadown kept their attacking play going but again the midfield of Josh Kerr, Taylor Hill and Tom King were industrious in their workrate for Banbridge. Kerr made a great slide rule pass through to Annett who set up Hamilton but his well taken shot was well saved. With vertually the last kick of the game Portadown scored a great equaliser to leave the final score at 1-1.

Overall a another great display by the boys who continue to develop and show great potential at the Games development Centre.
