Ports coming to Iveagh Park

CARLING Premiership club Portadown come to lock horns with Rathfriland Rangers in a pre-season fixture on Tuesday August 3, kick off 7.15pm.

Portadown have just recently been playing in Europe and now find themselves at Iveagh Park to continue their pre season activity. In the Europa League they played in Lativa against Skonto Riga and progressed 2–1 on aggregate to play Azerbaijan side FC Qarabag narrowly losing out 3–2 on aggregate.

Their victory in Latvia was their first in Europe in 36 years. A win in Azerbaijan could have seen a possible draw against Liverpool or Juventus! This is a massive and prestigious pre season game for The Whites and a large crowd is expected to see this one.
