Possessive passing the key

DROMORE Ladies First XI played their second match of the season on Saturday against Raphoe.

The first half started strongly for the Dromore side with positive, possessive passing between the midfield and forward line.

The ball was being worked well around the opposition resulting in numerous chances in the ‘D’.

It wasn’t long before a sharp pass from Tara Malcolmson to Lauren Pedlow was slipped into the ‘D’ who then proceeded to slot the ball in the net, bringing the score to 1-0.

Dromore then ended up winning numerous penalty corners and the girls used their newly practised corners to confuse the Raphoe side and two more goals were scored by forward Emma Wilson, bringing the score to 3-0.

In the second half Raphoe came out with a fighting mentality and held off any more goals being scored from Dromore, however the possession was mainly on the Dromore side.

The game ended with the final score of 3-0 and both teams enjoyed some food after provided by Dromore in their clubhouse.
