Pre-season hockey preparation begins

LARNE Men's Hockey Club is busy making preparations for the new season which begins in earnest in September.

The club is due to start its pre-season fitness training on Monday 26th July, at the Leisure Centre car park from 7pm. Hockey coaching will follow on Wednesday nights at the new astro pitch at Greenland Multi Sports Arena at 7.30pm. All players are requested to attend.

The club welcomes a Mossley XI to Greenland Arena for the first of its pre-season friendlies on Saturday August 7 at 2.30pm.

Mossley have been helpful to the Larne Club since the 1990s, permitting the club to have Senior League games played on astro turf.

Last season Larne played its home games on a Friday night at The Glade.

The club invite anyone wishing to take up the sport to contact the club and come along to coaching sessions at the new pitch from 28th July.
