This equipment was purchased with the proceeds from a BBQ and Music night which was held at the Diamond Bar.

Karen Hendrie said: “On behalf of Gillian, Diana, PJ, Daniel and all the family we want to say a massive thank you to Martin Doyle from the Diamond Bar, Deirdre Havlin and her musicians and everyone who supported the event.

“We were so glad to be able to give something back to the nurses and hospital who were so good to Christopher. They only have one of these machines on the ward so if there is a fault or it is out of service they are left without one and we knew from experience how important this piece of equipment was to Christopher in ensuring that his pain was managed. It was an emotional occasion for all the family but it was lovely to see all the nurses who took care of Christopher and came to mean so much to us.”
