Presentation night for ladies at Killymoon

ON Thursday 3 June Lady Captain, Leslie McGlaughlin, distributed the prizes for the Winter League 9 hole competitions and the 18 hole competitions to date.

It has been very pleasing that there has been a good turn out of ladies for our weekly competitions. On 27 May the Leeper Salver was hotly contested and Lily McMullan won with 39points. Runner-up was Anne McCrea with 37 points on a better second nine from Brenda Meenagh and Heather Campbell.

On a glorious sunny day on 3 June Diane McIvor won the Darren Clarke for MS competition with 40 points and the runner-up was Brenda Meenagh with 38 points. Diane will go to represent Killymoon at the regional final.

Congratulations go to Maureen Mulholland’s Irish Mail 4BBB team who continue their winning streak and defeated Tandragee.

Well done to Pat McNeill’s Intermediate Cup team who have progressed into their next round.

The next Open Day, which is the Johanna Rosebowl, will be held on 17 June. We would encourage our ladies to support this competition.

As we are now in the week of Lady Captain’s Day we wish our Lady Captain, Lesly McGlaughlin, well for the 12th June and hope that she has a pleasant, enjoyable day and the sun continues to shine.
