Priorians started a nervous first half, with Randalstown winning most of the tackles. A fast-paced Randalstown attack put Priorians' defence under pressure but managed to keep the ball out of the net with great help from goalkeeper Laura Britton who had several magnificent saves throughout the match.

Against the run of play Priorians made a dash to deep within the Randalstown half and were awarded a free hit just outside the circle, with Natasha Milligan finding the target to make it 1-0 in Priorians favour at half-time.

The second half saw a more settled Priorian's side, with some good team work amongst the links.

Kathy Kelly sent a free hit into the circle which found Emma Dougherty's stick, a nimble turn and Emma hit a screamer at a ridiculous angle which left the Randalstown goalkeeper astounded making the score 2-0 to Priorians.

The inevitable happened a few minutes from full-time when Randalstown eventually converted to a goal. Leaving the final score at 2-1 to Priorians.

This was an important win for Priorians Thirds which could see them finish top of their league as they have three more games at home in the coming weeks in which to round off their very successful season.

This could mean promotion for the girls for the second year running and any spectators who want to come and support the team are welcome to do so at St. Columb's Park on the next three Saturday afternoons.
