performanceActive has worked closely with the NI Open and this year the technology and design experts created a brand new website for the tournament with a simplified domain niopen.golf and a slick, responsive design to make the official website a very user friendly experience.

Following on from the website the dedicated NI Open app was created which can be downloaded for iPhone and Android devices from today.

There is added incentive too because anyone who downloads the new app and registers for their FREE tickets online at niopen.golf before Friday, July 22 has the chance to play in the tournament’s Pro-Am on Wednesday, July 27 as part of the performanceActive team.

“performanceActive International is delighted to be centrally involved as the Technology Partner for the NI Open.

“As the event attracts over 40,000 visitors each year and has thousands following online, it was important we worked with Gary [Henry], Ross [Oliver] and the team at Galgorm to put in place a digital platform of web and mobile apps that engages and keeps fans connected with this ever popular event,” said Fergus Wallace, chief executive performanceActive.

“The NI Open now has its own dedicated mobile app which is free to download and has all the event information pulled together into one, easy to use place.

“Fans can register for tickets on the NI Open mobile app. The app will also keep everyone up to date with the all the latest news, schedule of events plus highlight any travel information you need to plan your visit.

“There is also a great opportunity to win a place in the Pro-Am plus users can enter all the competitions during tournament week and follow their favourite players and stay up to date with the latest leaderboard.

“As a local company it’s fantastic to have the opportunity to be involved with the team at Galgorm, the partners and the sponsors in showcasing one of the most popular events on the European Challenge Tour,” added Wallace.

The NI Open gets underway at Galgorm Castle from Thursday, July 28-31. The week-long festival of golf, combined with the dedicated Food Festival, art exhibition from golf portrait specialist Mark Robinson, Fun Golf Area, NI Open Village and more promises to serve up something special for all the family.

The NI Open is FREE to enter by simply registering online at niopen.golf.
