Promotion joy for St Mary's

ST MARY'S are back in Division One after storming their way to the North West Division Two title.

The runaway leaders picked up another grand slam victory to increase their lead at the top of the league to a massive 28 points. It was Garvagh and District who were put to the sword last week as St Mary's won by 52 shots.

Ronnie Milliken got the ball rolling as he recorded a 15-shot win over Ken McLenaghan, before John Campbell added another six to their total with victory over David Livingston.

In the second half Arthur Rainey picked up a superb 16-shot win over David Workman and Declan McCann completed the rout with a 15-shot win over Ian Reynolds.

Castlerock moved back in to second place as they recorded a 13-shot win over First Coleraine.

In the first half Victor Callaghan beat Robert Campbell by nine before Bryan Shaw closed the gap with a four shot win over Brian Wilson.

Clifford McLernon picked up another closed the deficit by two shots in the second half as he saw off Ronnie Steele, but Jackie Hutchinson held firm to seal the win with 10-shot win over Dessie Hassan.

Drumreagh picked up all seven points as they beat New Row by 34 shots.

Martin Marks recorded a good 12 shot win over Robin Humphries before Raymond Clyde added another seven to his side's total with victory over Tommy Moffatt.

Carson Boyd had a good battle with Jonathon Elder before winning by two and Andy Campbell sealed the win with a 13-shot victory over Hugh Hamill.
