Proposed race programme to be discussed

The NIPA held their monthly meeting on Wednesday 4th February, among the items discussed was the proposed race programme for 2015. The new one and the one flown last year will be put out immediately to member clubs for voting, to be returned before 21st February. Release areas marked with * are currently being sought and the race point will be confirmed when more information is available. The intention is to pick new sites in the designated area.

If you require any clarification on any of the race programmes please contact Secretary Fred Russell. The General Committee also require each club to carry out a stock check of Aluminium Crates in hand and please advise the number held in your club as of February 2015. Fees confirmed are Club Fee £24, Administration Fee £22 per loft. No confirmation yet on Transport Fees. Programme (1) is what was flown last season in old birds, Programme (2) is the modified one. Eight inland races before Talbenny in South Wales, four cross channel races as usual and an inland race on the France weekend. Programme (3) for young birds was flown last season, Programme (4) is the modified one. The opening two races will just have two liberations, top half away first in Mullingar followed by bottom half at Tullamore.

The 70th Annual General Meeting for the NIPA will take place in the Protestant Hall, Glenavy, on Saturday 14th February commencing at 2.00pm sharp. It should be noted that only Delegates can vote or enter into the business of the meeting. Official Delegate Cards will be required in the recording of votes, and no discussion on Resolutions. This year each club has been furnished with a letter which needs completed and returned for the AGM as confirmation. As well as club name the Delegate Names are required and the date the club meeting was held to discuss the NIPA Accounts and Agenda for 2015. Without the signed letter club votes will not be recorded.

Only one Resolution has been listed on the agenda. Submitted by Horseshoe HPS in Larne.

Introduce a 50 Bird Limit per annual subscription fee paid to the NIPA per loft. NIPA Rules 56 and 78 still apply regarding limits in National, Classic and 5 Bird Races.

INFC - Please note that the Annual General Meeting will be held on Saturday 28th February 2015 at Lagan Valley Leisureplex in Lisburn, 2.00pm sharp. With the absence of any Resolutions it should be quick, any queries with accounts should be with the Secretary Trevor Topping in writing at least 3 days prior to the meeting. The Single Bird Challenge in the Kings Cup is another Free Nom, entry forms to be with Race Co-Ordinator David Black before 17th March 2015. He will be able to collect completed forms at the AGM.
