Pupil success
The Champion of Champions Badminton Tournament was played in Lisburn Racquets Club on Tuesday November 12. Friends’ pupils have lifted many titles over the years.
Matthew Prentice performed well reaching the semi-final of the Minor Boys’ event where he lost narrowly to Thomas Cherry from Wallace High School. Chin Nam Soong won the Junior Boys cruising through his section and then defeating John McCready from Regent house 21-18, 21-13 in the final. Ryan Stewart in his last year at school lifted the Senior Boys’ title for a second year in a row with a convincing 21-15, 21-10 victory over Sullivan pupil Ben McMeekin.
