‘Question of Sport’ at Tullylish

PAIRC na nOg at Tullylish Gaelic Football Club, hosts the very popular quiz show, ‘A Question Of Sport’ on Wednesday March 28.

This is just one of the events in the Young Roots Street Festival in Laurencetown .

Young Roots is the Heritage Funded Project involving 25 teenagers from the rural district who were inspired by the felling of a very old Horse Chestnut tree and built a heritage project around it.

Question of Sport is part of a Good Relations Community Festival aimed at bringing people together to celebrate the present and the future.

Two teams of local international sporting personalities will battle it out under the watchful eye of Leader golf correspondant Tommy Fee, himself just recovering from a sensational performance on School Around the Corner.

Teams include representatives from a range of sports including, Jason, ‘Cool Hand’ McKay, Golfs’ Errill Meaney, Jump Jockey, Mark O’Hare and Stephen Dowds from the Hockey Club.

‘Tuffers’ Team features rugby’s Simon Best, Danny Hughes from gaelic football, cycling’s Neill Taggart and Lee Nelson, local cricket ace.

Tickets at £5 are available from Campbells Centra, Scarva Street or pay at the door.
