Quinn keen to talk with Watson

GLENAVON boss Marty Quinn has confirmed that he is set to go into talks with Albert Watson over a summer move to Mourneview Park.

The 24-year-old Ballymena United defender is out of contract come the end of the season and Quinn is anxious to get the former Northern Ireland U23 captain on board.

The manager also claims that several other players have expressed an interest in joining the ranks at Mourneview Park come the summer.

“I’ll be speaking to Albert Watson in the next few days,” he told the ‘MAIL.’

“I’m not one for unsettling things, though and I’ll let Ballymena get their cup replay over first and then I’ll speak to him.

“There are one or two other irons in the fire as well. We’ll be speaking to Albert with a view to signing for next season and there are one or two other players making noises that they would like to come to Glenavon so I’ll have to take stock of that. However, the bottom line is that players have to go out as well.”
