European Champion John Christie from Crumlin currently tops the series, but current N.I. Champion Andrew Murray is hot on his tail!

Only one point separates the pair, with Gilford’s Nigel McCauley and Kells racer Carl Sloan also featuring prominently at this early stage of the campaign.

Sloan took the honours at Round 2, with Round 3 winner Glenn Bell from Portadown another to look out for along with Derek Martin, Adam Maxwell, Stewart Doak and Gary Woolsey.

Also on the race programme this weekend are the Group Two Lightning Rods, Euro Stocks, Speed Stocks and Classic Hot Rods.

Jason Clyde has been in sparkling form in the Group Two division. The Broughshane man won the Irish Open at Raceway recently and since then has went on to capture the Nutts Corner Stadium Championship as well!

Clyde will be aiming to continue his hot streak on Friday evening, but World Cup winner Johny Gillespie, Kenny Carson, Freddie Fleck and David Gillespie will all have other ideas.

The Euro Stocks put on some great action at the Raceway Spedeweekend in August where the major honours fell to Philip Doherty and Lester McCloy.

Both will be looking for more silverware on Friday evening, with Mark Frew, Nigel Doherty and Trevor McFaul expected to be in the mix as well.

The green flag drops to get racing underway in the Ballymena Showgrounds at 7:15pm.
