Raise charity funds at Half Marathon

Meningitis Research Foundation has issued a call to ask participantd in this year's Larne Half Marathon on (March 19) to consider doing so in aid of their very worthy cause.

The ever-popular event is expected to increase in size again this year and more than 1,500 participants from across the province are expected to take part across the half marathon, relay event and walk.

Meningitis ResearchFoundation Fundraising Officer Karen Dunlop commented: “I’ve wanted to complete a half marathon for a long time and thought this would be a great event to be part of!

“I’m hoping the scenery, sea views and the wind in my hair will help me along! I’d love others who are already signed up or perhaps those still considering taking part, to join #TeamMRF and simply raise whatever they can in support of the Foundation’s vital research, support services and awareness activities.”
