Ramseys deliver first class performance
ALMOST 200 players competed for the St Patrick's Day competition at Castlerock Golf Club.
The day was won by Danny Brown and Tony Campbell with council members Stephen McMullan and Ivor Platt.
The air of authority in that group saw them post a score of 56.2, only one in front of a visiting team, all the way from Tandragee Golf Club, comprising A Brown, J Strothers, J Hewitt and R Dutton returning a net 57.2. Tandragee brought a squad of 28 to take part and by all accounts thoroughly enjoyed the golf and hospitality.
Four Ramseys, by birth or marriage, took the mixed title.
Husband and wife, Robert and Hilary, teaming up with brother Chris and sister Elaine Taylor scored 59.6 to see off the opposition.
