From the start of the second half Kerry Coulter, Megan Quinn and Nicole Moore combined well for the latter to rattle home to put Randalstown back in the lead. Soon after Carrickfergus replied in kind to make the score 2-2.

With twenty minutes remaining Sasha Lawther made a bursting run before unselfishly passing to Jayne McGrillen to score.

Carrickfergus dug deep and again levelled matters at 3-3 from a solo effort.

The game looked to be heading to extra time when Randalstown grabbed the game by the scruff with captain Fiona Lee robbing a Carrickfergus player of possession in the middle of the park before finding Alice Reid free in the circle.

Determined not to concede again Randalstown patiently keep possession resulting in Alice Christie slotting home for goal number five to put the game beyond doubt.
