Rathfriland Bowlers celebrate 30 years
COUNCILLOR Elizabeth Ingram has congratulated Rathfriland Bowling Club on reaching its thirtieth anniversary.
“I was delighted to have been invited to accompany Council Chairman Councillor Jim McElroy to the opening match of the new season,” said Mrs Ingram. “The green looked in very good condition and with such a picturesque setting i am sure it must be the envy of many clubs that travel here to play games during the summer.
“It is really encouraging to see such a good turnout of bowlers and a high level of interest in promoting the game and I know they have enjoyed much success in the past and it gives me great . pleasure to wish them continued success in their new season.”
