Raymond salvages a point for Hilden

Raymond Gourley got Hilden’s only point when they lost by 16 shots away to Castleton.

Gourley was 12-13 down at the tenth but lifted six shots over the next five without reply and went on to win by seven. Down 9-11 at the tenth and 13-18 at 15 ends, Jonathan McMullan lost by 11 shots.

At the 15th, Colin Montgomery was 8-21 down before losing by ten shots. Ahead 11-5 at the tenth and 18-9 at 15, Maurice Kirkwood lost by two.

Hilden B were only troubled on one rink when they stormed to a 52 shots win at home to Castleton B.

Though lifting a three, Hugh Murray was level 7-7 at the tenth and 10-14 down at 15 ends, but they came back to lead 17-15 and won by a shot.

Gary Finlay led 9-4 at the tenth and added three and four to lead 18-8 at 15 ends before winning by 22 shots.

After starting with a five, Drew Harron was 13-3 ahead at the tenth and 17-5 at 15 ends before winning by 18 shots.

Three threes helped Robin Campbell to a 13-8 lead at the tenth. Hilden lifted six at 16 ends and won by 11 shots.
