RDA hold Sunday Afternoon Show

LAST Sunday saw the first of the Coleraine Riding For the Disabled weekly afternoon shows.

A good number of ponies of various sizes and colours jumped from 50cm to 110cm, some for the first time.

Nicola Coxford from Londonderry commented: “This was our first time taking part in a show at the RDA and I have to say it is a fabulous facility and with such friendly and welcoming people, thank you very much”.

The series continues on November 11 and 18 with the final on November 25.

To make the event more interesting, it has been decided to extend the scope of the shows and permit horses to enter the various classes.

More details of events at RDA Coleraine are regularly updated on Facebook - at ‘RDA Coleraine’ - or by calling the arena during working hours - 028 7032 0147.

Either of the two arenas are available for hire, for equestrian activities - for flatwork, or for jumping. Also local football clubs use the facility for training - a great improvement of the outdoor field.
