Rebekah holds on to claim bronze

REBEKAH Nixon breathed a sigh of relief after battling to hold on to third place in the NI and Ulster Cross Country Championship held at the University of Ulster campus in Jordanstown last Saturday.

The Dromore AC runner and 1st year pupil at Banbridge Academy would normally run at U13 level but was up against the best young athletes from across NI and the border counties in the U14 category, holding off some stiff competition in what was a very competitive and gruelling race in adverse conditions to claim a very well deserved third place.
