Reid bags a hat-trick

CURTIS Reid scored a fantastic hat-trick as Larne Youth, sponsored by SKC Music, ran out winners over Carnmoney Colts in a match that was crucial for both teams.

Youth got off to the worst possible start when a penalty was awarded and duly converted by the Colts to make it 1-0 after just 10 mins.

But Larne were soon deservedly back on level terms when Reid followed onto a pass to slide the ball past the onushing keeper. The dominating play soon created another goal with a nice finish from Reid again on the stroke of half-time.

After the break Larne Youth continued where they left off with Richard Wilson finally getting the goal that his play deserved with a great finish from 20 yards straight into the top corner.

Carnmoney came back to make the score 3-2 and nerves set in with Larne. But then Aaron Lindsay set-up his strike partner Reid to score his hat-trick with another neat finish, to make the score 4-2.

A wonderful save from keeper Peter McSparron kept the gap at two, until the final minute where Carnmoney scored again.
