Reserve League fixtures

WITH last seasons Reserve League failing to be completed after just a handful of games were finished this seasons competition has a realistic chance of gaining a degree of credibility.

In 2012 teams had to travel long distances for Friday night matches, but the new structure has seen teams in the same geographical region being placed in more localised Divisions. In fact the North/South split has been reintroduced with the Intermediate Senior Reserve League seeing all six clubs from the North of the County competing against each other.

The matches will now be held on Wednesday nights and as in previous years players who start for their Senior side on a Sunday won’t be able to line out for the Reserves on the following Wednesday night.

Players who are introduced as substitutes in Senior games will be able to field for the Reserves in midweek matches. In this seasons Reserve League clubs will be guaranteed ten games as well as the minimum of at least one Championship outing.
