Resounding winfor Under13s

On a morning tailor made for running rugby, the Lurgan Under 13 Rugby squad opened up their Cup campaign last Saturday with a 73–0 victory over a plucky and hard working Newry team.

Tries from Tom Lavery (4), Luke Forsythe (3), Ryan Armstrong (3), Daniel Hannon (2) and Alex Burns (1) along with two conversions apiece from Joshua Abraham and Josh Best saw the Tigers put on their best display of the season to date both in defence and in attack. The forwards, led by Captain Tom Lavery and flanker Ryan Armstrong, were particularly Prominent. Credit goes to Newry for playing the game in right manner. Harder tests lie ahead for the Tigers but it was good to see the hard work being done is training is starting to pay off with the whole Squad having the confidence and the skills to move the ball quickly in attack and defending as unit.

Congratulations go to Cormac Brophy, playing his first full game of rugby.
