Banbridge Town U14s 2

Lisburn Distillery 6

THE U14s' poor start to this season continued with this defeat by Distillery at Havelock Park.

They began the match very positively and went ahead after only four minutes when Stephen McCavitt hit a brilliant free kick from just outside the 18 yard box which soared into the roof of the net giving the keeper no chance.

However the lead only lasted two minutes as Distillery came back strongly and scored two goals in four minutes.

After 25 minutes a great 50 yard run by Stephen McCavitt ended with him winning a direct free kick which Gareth Orr hit well and almost beat the keeper.

Just on the half time whistle Distillery made it three with a header from a corner.

Distillery started the second half strongly and scored another two goals with the Banbridge boys struggling to keep their heads up.

Josh Buchanan lifted the team with a goal from a low shot from the edge of the 18 yard box after 60 minutes and good link up play on the left between David Gray and Michael Jordan almost came off but for a good save by the keeper. Distillery got a sixth goal in the final minutes for a decisive win.
