Riada FC progress in Steele & Sons Shield

Riada FC played Aghadowey in the Steele & Sons Shield and came away with a 4-2 win.

Aghadowey started the stronger of the two sides with Dempsey scoring a tremondous goal, pulling a ball out of the sky before outstripping the Riada defence to chip home over the advancing McGaughey.

Riada then came back into the game and got a much deserved equaliser from a Chestnutt free kick wide on the right hand side which found the top corner of the net.

Riada came out and totally dominated the second half and Andrei Graur put them in front twisting and turning on the edge of the box before lashing home past the Aghadowey keeper.

Riada then went two goals in front after some good work from Parkhill on the left found McAleese well placed who nodded home.

Riada then put the game to bed after a superb finish from McAleese when he found the corner of the net.

A late own goal made the score 4-2 to Riada but it was too little to late for Aghadowey to affect the outcome.

Riada FC now progress tothe last eight of the Steele and Sons Shield.
