Rising Sun Bar retain cup

IT is back to league action tomorrow (Thursday) night in the Eglinton and District Darts League and the fixtures are as follows: Donaghys A vs Gort Na Drum; Longfield B vs Donaghys B; McKeevers vs Longfield A; Rising Sun vs Eglinton Cricket Club; Riverside Bar A vs Rising Sun top flight; Sportsman Inn vs Riverside Bar B.

Last Saturday night’s bonus ball winners was the Longfield with No.47. The next monthly meeting is in the Sportsman Inn, Feeny on Monday, March 29 at 8.30pm and all bars must have at least one representative for draws and all monies due.

Last Thursday night saw the semi-finals and the final of the 4 person cup sponsored for the first time by Dolans Barbers, Greysteel.

The standard of darts from start to finish was first class and at the end the four person team of Conrad Watson, Michael McCloskey, Sean McKinney and Paul Brown retained this trophy for the Rising Sun Bar.

The standard of darts from the first week when 21 teams entered was exceptional and it continued last Thursday night in the Sportsman Bar, Feeny.

Rising Sun had a fantastic 10-5 success over McKeevers in the first semi-final, while Riverside Bar had an equally impressive 10-3 win over Donaghys to book their place in the final.

However it was Rising Sun who produced some great darts to claim their title winning 10-2 in the final.
