The Junior side caused the Roesiders few problems and goals from David Patton and Stephen Lowry wrapped up the victory.

United cut the home side apart in just the second minute. A wonderful build-up move involving Lowry, Martin McNutt and Ciaran Clarke ended with Patton dragging his shot narrowly wide.

Patton was the provider for Clarke six minutes later but the winger's shot was deflected just beyond the far post.

The visitors did take the lead in the 19th minute. Michael Doherty's long ball was picked up by Patton who cleverly flicked the ball over the on-rushing Kris Malone and rolled the ball home.

Patton almost grabbed his second in the 26th minute but he hit the post, with the 'keeper beaten, from Paul Owens cross.

Limavady did double their lead in the 35th minute however. Owens crossed for Patton who cleverly back-heeled the ball to Lowry who rifled the ball home.

Just before the break Patton, who caused Foundry problems throughout the game, lifted the ball over his marker before seeing his shot well saved.

Four minutes after the break it was that man Patton ahead who undid the home defence but he shot just over the bar.

In the 54th minute Lowry looked to add to the total for the visitors but his weak shot was easily saved by Malone.

The home side's only real chance of note in the game came in the 57th minute but Doherty saved William McComb's shot.

By this stage United had taken their foot of the pedal and comfortably cruised through the rest of the game.

The didn't create too many clear cut chances although Clarke did see a shit well saved in the final minute of the game.
