Ronnie sweeps up at Brown Trout

THE competition at the Brown Trout at the weekend was an 18 Hole Sweep.

Club Captain Ronnie Milliken (7) completed his round in one over par 71.

With his two over par opening nine for 20 points, Ronnie covered the back nine in one under par which included birdies at holes 10, 14 and 18. This added another 22 for a winning score of 42 points.

Two points back on 40 points was Club President Joe Logue (15) who opened with 21 points before adding 19 to take the runner/up prize.

A further point adrift Tommy McGowan (10) scored 21 front nine and 18 back nine for a total of 39 points for third place.

Twos were shared by Jimmy Kelly, Sam Reid, Tommy McCloskey and Ronnie Milliken.

This coming weekend is the start of the winter League. It will be run over a nine week period. A ringers card will be run in conjuction with two different designated holes drawn before the competition each week.

Cards may be taken out on the Friday Saturday or Sunday each week.

Members are reminded to turn out on a regular basis as they are drawn into six four man teams.

The winning team will be awarded six points down to a single point for sixth place.

The best seven cards out of nine will be totalled in the individual event over the nine weeks.
