Room for improvement

IT wasn’t the best. I’m disappointed with the showing after last Tuesday night against Carrick when we played good passing, free-flowing football.

On Saturday we took too many touches on the ball, gave away bad goals, didn’t create enough chances, didn’t get enough balls into the box.

Defensively I thought we were a wee bit weak and a bit square at times. We didn’t dominate the midfield either and didn’t really look like scoring. It was an ordinary enough performance and there’s certainly room for improvement. Now is the time to sort out these problems.

On the plus side, Philip Trainor looked pretty sharp although he’s carrying a bit of a groin injury at the minute.
