He even had a point to spare with three players coming in with 39 points.

The prizes were decided on countback and John Redpath (14) made a welcome return to the podium as he did enough on the back nine to take the runner up spot.

Billy Clarke (18) was third and there was also a prize for the leading veteran player Albert Morrison (21), who took fourth.

The best gross prize went to Jonathan Ward (4) with a four over par 73.

Joe Glass was unlucky to miss out with his 38 points.

The ladies ran a competition in conjunction with the men and our congratulations go to the winner, Denise McBrien.
