Teams progress in Danske Bank Girls Schools’ Cup

Last week over 1000 players took part in the Danske Bank Girls Schools’ Cup Qualifiers.

There were six regional qualifiers held at Our Lady and St. Patrick’s Knock, Strabane Academy, Clogher Valley RFC, Grosvenor Grammar School, Virginia RFC and Coleraine RFC.

16 teams have progressed to the quarter finals: Antrim GS; Aquinas GS; Ballyclare HS; Dalriada School; Enniskillen Collegiate; Fivemiletown College; Grosvenor GS; Kilkeel HS; Loreto College, Cavan; Methodist College; Our Lady and St. Patrick’s College, Knock; Royal School Armagh; Royal School Cavan; St. Columba’s College; Victoria College; Wellington College.

The quarter finals will be played at two venues; Wellington College on Tuesday 10th March and Armagh RFC on Thursday 12th March. There will be two pools of four at each venue and fixtures will be played in a round-robin format. The winner of each pool progressing to the semi-finals, which will be played on the same day.

Kingspan Stadium will host the final on Tuesday 24th March (1.00pm).
