Runaway success for McCullagh in Winter League race

SPRING was in the air on Saturday morning for over forty Sperrin Harriers who were joined by many athletes from no less than 14 Running clubs from all across the country and beyond at the picturesque Drum Manor Forest Park for the 4th race of the Winter League Trail Series.

The race even had participants from as far away as Belfast and Dublin.

The usual course had to be altered slightly because of the soft conditions. The usual first long and steep hill climb had to be cut from the race, much to the delight of many of the runners.
