SAILING: Fundraiser to help Olympic hopefuls Seaton and McGovern on Road to Rio
Belfast Lough Sailability is to host a fundraising night for Olympic hopefuls Ryan Seaton and Matt McGovern.
The sailing duo claimed a top-10 finish at Sailing’s World Championships in the United States of America last weekend when they finished 10th overall in the 49er discipline. It was a huge boost for their hopes of a big challenge at this summer’s Olympic Games in Rio.
Seaton and McGovern still need funds to get themselves, their boats and kit to Rio this summer. To help them on their way, BLS is hosting a Wine and Cheese evening on Friday, February 26, at Carrickfergus Marina Conference Room.
