SAILING: Seaton and McGorvern finish in top 10 at World Championships

The pair finished 10th overall in the 49er discipline, boosting their hopes of a big challenge at this summer’s Olympic Games in Rio.

A post on the duo’s Facebook page read: “It’s been a great week and we have made some really big improvements.

New Zealand’s Pete Burling and Blair Tuke took top spot at the event which was staged in Clearwater, Florida.

Royal Yachting Association NI’s High Performance Manager, Richard Honeyford said: “This is a really positive result for Matt and Ryan. They have been training hard and their dedication is paying off. We are looking forward to continuing the hard work and getting prepared for Rio this Summer.”
