Samuel takes Ramsey Memorial Cup at Rathmore

Samuel posted 41 points with a high spot being his birdie at No 4. Gary Cardwell was runner-up on 40 points, again with a solitary birdie at the tenth.

Gary double bogied the first and blanked fifteen to scupper his chances. His good back nine however, kept Kenny McDowell in third place.

Kenny birdied the first and the ninth but again a blank at fifteen was expensive. Paul Surgenor was fourth with his 39 points. His round contained four one pointers and two blanks. He scored a birdie at 13 and finished the rest of the course in level par.

The gross prize was taken with a great 69 from Ben Best. A scratch player, Ben had four birdies and a bogey on his card but an unfortunate closing double bogey five at the last left him frustrated.
