Schoolboy Blayne Watton back in action

Ballymoney CC

WHEN Ballymoney CC schoolboy Blayne Watton looks back at 2010 he will have mixed emotions, even though he won his club’s 10 mile TT championships, injury has hampered his progression this season.

With the Youth Championships at Dromara, over 60 schoolboys and girls were in action.

As anyone who knows the Dromara area they will realise that flat roads do not exist in this hilly part of the country.

Ballymoney CC under14 rider Blayne Watton and local lads Craig Crawford and Aaron Swan set out to show their metal against the provinces’ best young cyclists.

These three lads have used the testing Ballymoney CC road race programme to help in their preparation for the season.

Craig Crawford finished 6th in the highly contested Lislagan Road Race prior to going to Dromara.
