Scorpion clean up at County Antrim Novice Championships

Dylan Hanna, Piaras Casey, Scott Horner and brothers Michael and Seamus McAlister returned from last week's event at St Kevin's Hall in Belfast as champions.

Michael Coyles and Gerard Loughran were beaten finalists while Brian McAlister reached the quarter final stage.

The local lads went toe to toe with top competitors from across the county at the week long event.

The final nights pulled in crowds of approximately 600 spectators.

"It was another excellent display by all our boys," said proud coach Alan Martin.

"They all fought very well and continue to put the club on the map.

"This squad we currently have is as good as any that has been here.

"We are coming away with champions from every championship we enter which is fantastic."
