Sean Treacys play in outdoor blitz

SEAN Treacys have congratulated their Under 8s and Under 10s who travelled to Keady last Sunday to play their first outdoor blitz of the season.

Despite low numbers and near arctic conditions the boys went out and made the club proud. They fielded two very young teams today in comparison with the opposition but the “Tiny Treacy’s” (U8s) were not deterred and played out five hard fought draws.

Sean Treacys Under 10s performed fearlessly and skillfully and won one, drew two and lost two. The club must give a special thank you to the U8s who lined out with the U10s to allow the club to field a team.

The underage mentors would also like to thank the parents for travelling with the club to the blitz and for their continued support.

The next blitz is scheduled for Sunday, May 13 at the Craobh Rua club, the club would ask all of you to make a special effort to join them. Sean Treacys have training every Friday at 7pm in Clann Eireann field beside Taghnamore school.
