Sean wins Irish Junior Rod title
PORTGLENONE teenager Sean McFerran is the new Junior Rods Irish Champion after taking a resounding success at Ballymena Raceway on Friday night.
The young driver drove an absolutely faultless race to land the trophy and join a prestigious list of previous winners.
It was an evening of atrocious conditions at Raceway, which also saw Leigh Nicholl take the 2 Litre Hot Rods Stadium Championship title and Anthony McIvor the similar trophy for the Saloon Stock Cars. In the supporting Group 2 Lightning Rods, Broughshane’s Jason Clyde was on top form as he went through both heats and the final unbeaten.
