Seapark AC’s Trevor Lamb runs Berlin Marathon

Seapark AC’s Trevor Lamb ran the Berlin Marathon at the weekend, recording a personal best 04:45:44 over the distance.

The club was well represented at the 26Extreme Causeway Coast events. Gillian Cordner took second place over the marathon distance. In the half-marathon, Vivien Davidson and Phil Magill both ran a time of 3:05.

Over 10k, Rebecca Tester, Nicola McKay and Thomas Dunlop all performed strongly.

In Lurgan, Brendan Rice and Clive Weatherhead finished well up the field in the St Peter’s AC 10k event with times of 42:14 and 43:07 respectively.

Over the 5k distance, Ryan Weatherhead finished in 21:15 for a top-10 finish, and Eimear and Caoimhe Rice both put in solid performances.

Another 10k was hosted by North Down in Bangor, where Karen Poag and Julie Ann Mitchell completed the 6.2 miles in 51 and 53 minutes.

Iain Hunter travelled to the 5k Muckit race in west Meath, winning the event in a time of 22.30.

Meanwhile, Barn Runners’ Andrew Stevenson and Neil Porter ran Saturday’s 26Extreme Causeway Coast half-marathon. Porter finished in 1:49:40 and Stevenson crossed the line with a time of 2:08:58.
