DROMORE Seconds travelled to Ballymena where they faced a very physical game and were defeated by the Ballymena home side.

With a lot of the usual squad missing Dromore found it hard to adapt to the game early, however in time Dromore had gained most possession of the ball with play starting off from around the back through defenders Hannah Lilburn, Jo Wilkinson, Jo Leathem and Janine Davis through to left midfield player Nikki Millar who carried the ball through mid-field finding the centre mid Nicole Laverty.

This good play and passing carried on with play from Claire Anderson through to Shannon Brush. The forwards worked hard and were unlucky not to be awarded a penalty corner.

Both teams worked hard but were unsuccessful in scoring, leading to the half time score of 0-0.

Play continued throughout the second half, the Ballymena side made a few breaks due to the frustration in the Dromore players in trying to find passes, the opposing team were fast on the break not giving the Dromore team time to work back which lead to the first goal conceded of the match early in the second half.

Dromore continued to play together, however they didn't have many opportunities of scoring.

They were unlucky in conceding the second goal of the match in open play with the Ballymena players finding free players in their attacking circle, not giving keeper Emma Johnston a chance.

After continuous play through the middle of the pitch and hard work from all players to try and work back and defend, the final whistle blew leaving a 2-0 defeat for Dromore.
