Seven Towers continue good form

SEVEN Towers Firsts continued their encouraging start to the season with wins over PSNI and Down last week.

Although missing several players in the match against PSNI at Avoneil, the Ballymena girls still dominated the game, winning 31-12.

An early injury to Denise Reynolds made things even more difficult as there were no subs available and Denise had to soldier on with two staved fingers. She still played extremely well directing play from the centre court.

Aine McCormack stepped up from the Seconds and, after a nervous start, she quickly found her confidence and made some excellent interceptions in defence.

It was another convincing performance against Down where Seven Towers triumphed 38-15.

Player of the match in attack was Amy Scullion who scored many of her side's points and also worked extremely hard in centre court.

Michelle Scott also put in an impressive performance in GD intercepting the opposing teams passes consistently.

SECONDS

Seven Towers Seconds travelled to Ballymoney on Thursday and gave a good team performance against a strong Causeway side before ultimately losing 47-19.

Caris Robinson, Orla Killough and player of the match Karen Dinsmore had excellent games for Seven Towers in defence and Chloe Craig achieved her highest scoring percentage of 71 per cent in a game where the result counted less than the improvement the team are showing in their netball skills and teamwork.
