Shocks in Scott Cup tournament

WITH the Larne and District Snooker League complete, it was time for the Dr Scott Memorial Cup tournament to be played, with a few shock results on the way through.

Last night (Wednesday) the final was to be played in the St Comgall’s Club with Greenbank B looking to upset Division 1 team Latharna.

In the semi-finals Latharna saw off a challenge from team mates The Point to secure their place in the final. In the other semi Ballylumford lost out to Greenbank.

Congratulations to Gary Johnston from St Comgall’s, who won The Brian McKay Competition against Steven Girvan at the Rangers Club last week.

A reminder to all players that the annual prize night will be held in the St John’s Club on Friday, May 28 starting at 8.00pm.
