Shuffled U12s miss out
The changed line up found a number of kids playing out of position but they didn’t let this effect them and they took the game to current league leaders Abbey Villa.
The midfield quartet of A Hanna, H Thomas, J Allen and T Stannage were working really hard to stop Abbey Villa playing.

It was C Roberts who opened the scoring for Dromore with a strong shot from just inside the box leaving the Villa keeper rooted to the spot.
Abbey Villa got their equaliser just before the break after a free kick was fumbled over the line by the Dromore keeper.
Immediately after the re-start Dromore caught their opponents cold and M Brush restored the lead with a well taken goal.

Hide AdAbbey Villa were now pushing for a goal of their own and were putting Dromore under some sustained pressure. The young Dromore defence consisting off O McLuckie, B Scott, O Crozier, J Howard and I Palmer had held out well until the last moments off the match when Abbey Villa scored two quick goals.
The winning goal being a melee in the box where Dromore had numerous attempts to clear it before it was forced over the line from close range.
Overall a good hard working performance from the U12s. The George Best Man of the Match award went to C Roberts.
Dromore U12s face Iveagh Thistle on Wednesday night at Newry FC with a 7pm start before they finish their league campaign away to North Belfast next Saturday at Henry Jones playing fields at 11am.
