Six firsts and three Section A wins

Cookstown HPS news

THE Glen and Stanley Smith band wagon rolled on when they scored their sixth club win and their third NIPA Section A win in last weeks race from Fermoy.

The only loft to keep relentless pressure on the partnership was the Castle Lofts of Joe McCormick in third position. Joe had a good pigeon and speculation was rife while the result was being compiled that he may just have toppled the winners but alas it was not to be and the race belonged to Glenn and Stanley taking first and second positions with Joe in third position and Glenn and Stanley taking the remaining seven positions in the top ten.

Eight members of Cookstown HPS sent 277 pigeons to Fermoy, they were released at 10am into broken sunshine and a strong southwest wind. The winning pigeon covered the course in less than three hours which left the section A result at their mercy with Glenn, Stanley and Joe taking the first six positions in Section A.
