Smith is a record breaker atCity of Derry Bowling Club

City of Derry Bowling Club held their presentation of trophies recently in the White Horse Hotel.

President Jim Ross welcomed everyone and then briefly outline his experiences over his year in office and how much he enjoyed it.

In the club competitions played over the season Alan Smith set up a new record by winning six of them and being runner up in one, this in itself was a wonderful achievement by Alan.

Jackie McIntyre, Kyle Lynch and David Kincaid also had a good year. In the IBA U25 Richard Kincaid, Kyle Lynch and Simon Donaghy were part of that panel, Jim Campbell, won the veterans singles, was runners up in the veterans pairs with Raymond Hutchinson and runner up along with Willie Taylor, Uel Galbraith, Harold Moore and Alan Smith in the veterans rinks.

The club’s A team lost out narrowly to Portrush in the final of the Piggott Cup.
