Athena Media’s new TV production ‘Beyond Limits - The Next Generation’, which will be free on Setanta Ireland on Thursday evening, is a hour long documentary following Smyth and other fellow Paralympian athletes.

The latest installment picks up after London, where they meet five new athletes looking to make their mark on the next Paralympian games, in Rio 2016.

They also catch up with some of the heroes of London including Smyth.

They talk to Jason about his experiences at the games, the heartbreak of missing out on the Olympics and life post London and some of the challenges facing Paralympic athletes.

Smyth also takes time out to mentor and give advice to some of the up and coming Paralympians.
