SOCCER: Positive end to season for Rangers

Fixture Update

KILLYMOON'S final home game of the season ended in a draw with Portadown side Annagh United.

After a poor display in the first have Killymoon came out in the second half and should have come away with a victory. The club would like to thank all those supporters who came out to give the team backing throughout the season. The final game of the season was played on Tuesday past away to Sport & Leisure.

The Reserve side ended their season away to Newtownabbey last Saturday with Stephen Warwick's side returning home with a point after an entertaining 4-4 draw. Stuart Donaghy, Neil Young, David Harkness and Willie Watson were the Killymoon scorers.

Committee Meeting / Lucky 4

The next Committee Meeting will take place on Thursday 6 May at the Mint Cafe Bar. The meeting begins at 8pm and full attendance is requested to discuss the end of season dinner and complete the Lucky 4 draw.

End of Season Dinner

The end of season dinner and club awards take place in the Mint Cafe Bar on Friday 21 May. Anyone interested in attending the event should contact David Reid on 07769815933.

Mint Cafe Bar Player of the Month

Conall Kilpatrick scooped the final Mint Cafe Bar 'player of the month award' of the season. The big centre half continued his fine form this season during April to win the award. The club would like to thank the award sponsors for putting up the award during the season.

Aaron Hughes

Everyone at Killymoon Rangers would like to wish local man Aaron Hughes and his Fulham side the best of luck for the forthcoming Europa League final, that takes place on Wednesday 12 May, against Atletico Madrid in Hamburg.

It is a tremendous achievement by Fulham and Aaron has been in excellent form this season and he will hopefully be able to bring a winners medal back to Cookstown on his next visit.
