South Fourths earn draw

South Fourths were hoping to bounce back from a home defeat to Kilkeel this week by taking on Mossley Fourths.

South started very poorly, however, they seemed to be quite solid defensively until a fantastic reverse stick shot rocketed past Andy Cameron. South went in at half time 1 goal down.

Second half and South had upped their game massively. South worked a long corner very well and found Chris O’Hara at the back post who touched it through a defenders legs before slamming it into the bottom right corner to draw South level. They were able to go ahead thanks to a great short corner struck by Jonny McBride found the bottom corner.

Unfortunately, South’s lead was short lived as a mishit shot looped up and over the South keeper at full stretch and found the very top corner. South pushed hard for the winner but the Mossley keeper pulled off some great saves.
